As Ostap Bender said: "A car is not a luxury but simply a means of transportation." But that's all nonsense, because the cooler your car is, the more chances you have of picking up a hot chick and earning respect, and maybe envy, among your acquaintances. Everyone knows about the Xzibit show called "Pimp My Ride". So, if you're not familiar with the show, the gist is simple. People, usually without a lot of money, call up some really cool dudes at their garage and ask them to "pimp out" or "trick out" their "ride", as you can't just call their vehicles anything else.
The logic among the guys from the show is ironclad: the more horrible the car, the cooler we'll make it. So, they install fancy technology in old cars from the 60s and 70s, change the wheels, and repaint the bodywork. In short, they spend so much money on fixing it up that they could have just bought a new car, but that's their gimmick, their show.
Many people around the world also watch this show, but for ridiculous reasons cannot afford to write to the show "Pimp My Ride". These reasons can be different: one hates black people, others cannot write a letter in English because they were born in Sverdlovsk. This is what serves as a stimulus and then in any part of the world, in every city, there is their own Xzibit who is ready, for a certain amount of money, to pimp your car. But not everyone even has the money for that. Suppose he bought himself a brand new Moskvitch AZLK from 1978, but the girls are just not interested. You might say that's a failure yet they start tricking out their cars themselves, and their "ride" will be in their own backyard.
But neither of them stops at tricking out their cars. They need worldwide fame and recognition. Therefore, without thinking twice, while the paint dries, or a ridiculously large muffler doesn't fall off, they start taking pictures of their "monsters" and leak everything onto the internet.
But there will always be those who want to laugh at them. This usually happens for several reasons: either the car is really stupidly made, or someone just came up with a funny joke under the photo, or, because of envy. Not mine, but yours is crap, that's how it goes.
All of this led to the emergence of numerous funny photos - memes about car tuning. And they were assigned the category of "Pimp My Ride". Honestly, it's just trash, if you really love cars and plan to trick yours out, I'm sure you're also a fan of this category. Because sometimes you just wonder what kind of ridiculous, funny, and sometimes completely stupid ideas car enthusiasts come up with for their "babies".
